As you may be aware, there is a shortage of qualified referees in the grassroots game, an issue that has been ongoing for a number of years.
At LJFC, we provide opportunities for our older players (14-17 years of age) to try refereeing and earn some pocket money, which also means there is someone willing to referee our younger age groups.
We are delighted to be able to further support our young referees by delivering our first ever Referee Workshop, which takes place on Thursday 2nd December with a local experienced referee, Jona Woodward.
As well as sharing his knowledge with the young referees, Jona will also provide the basics on refereeing and give advice on handling difficult situations.
