LJFC Fortnite Tournament

Updated: Jun 28, 2020

Following a very successful, and popular, test run in early April, where we invited players to join several 100 player custom matchmaking games, we are delighted to announce the details of our first ever Fortnite tournament!

Thanks to Epic Games, the creators of Fortnite, we have been given access to the custom matchmaking platform, which isn't openly available to everyone, that allows up to 100 players to join a match together by using a password and it gives us unlimited options to create challenges during matches.

Our tournament gives players the opportunity to have fun with friends and win v-bucks in a competitive format, therefore please fully read the information below on entering the tournament.

There are only 100 places in each tournament, so places will go on a first come first served basis.

The Tournament rules

The tournament is open to ALL, however children under the age of 12 must have parental permission to take part which is given upon receiving the player's entry fee.

If you have any of the following platforms, you will be eligible to enter:

Xbox One

Playstation 4

Nintendo Switch

iOS & Android devices

Players can choose to take part in any, or all, of the following game modes:

- Solos

- Duos (2 players)

- Squads (4 players)

(For Duos and Squads, players must arrange themselves to play in the relevant team of either 2 or 4 - players CANNOT enter on their own in either of these game modes.)

Entry fee:

Each tournament costs just £2 to enter for 4 matches

To pay the entry fee, please transfer £2 per tournament entered to the following account with the player's name & FT as reference i.e Joe Smith FT

Bank Details:

Name: Lillington Juniors Football Club Ltd Acc no: 02355019 Sort code: 40-27-06

Unfortunately, as there are prizes involved in the tournament, all entry fees are non-refundable.

Prizes:

On the basis that 100 players take part in a tournament, the following prizes are up for grabs to win for the player with the highest points total after the 4 matches.

Solos prizes:

1st place - 6,000 v-bucks

2nd place - 3,000 v-bucks

3rd place - 2,000 v-bucks

5th place - 1,000 v-bucks

Duos prizes:

3rd place - 2,000 v-bucks

Squads prizes:

1st place - 8,000 v-bucks

2nd place - 4,000 v-bucks

Due to the number of players in duos & squads, the above prizes for duos and squads will be shared among the teammates.

Please note, we reserve the right to change the above prizes and how many teams are eligible to win a prize in each tournament should we have less than 100 participants in any of the tournaments.

There will be one tournament for each game mode above and there will be 4 matches played in each tournament.

Points will accumulate with each match played and the total number of points scored in each game will be added together to give a final total after the 4 matches.

Scoring system:

Victory Royale: 10 Points

2nd - 5th: 7 Points

6th - 10th: 5 Points

11th - 15th: 3 Points

Each Elimination: 1 Point

Reporting scores:

At the end of ALL 4 matches (please don't send a text after each game), each player/parent must send stats in the following format to 07470 658255, for example

Game 1: 10th & 4 elims

Game 2: 65th & 2 elims

Game 3: 21st & 3 elims

Game 4: 1st & 10 elims

If you are in with a chance of winning v-bucks, we may ask for photographic evidence of your stats, therefore we would highly recommend that players take a screenshot of their stats screen BEFORE they back out of the game.

Unfortunately if we request this evidence and it cannot be provided for any of the matches, then we will be unable to validate your score for that match and you will receive a score of 0.

For evidence provided, we will double-check the stats through Fortnite's replay system.

Tournament dates/times:

Please be aware of the "ready up" times between matches to avoid missing out on a match, these times are in brackets below next to the each game.

To ensure you know when a match has finished and when players will be going back to the lobby before the next match starts, we would always recommend spectating the rest of the match once you are eliminated.
